Questions people ask before calling

What does a travel planner actually do?

They design the itinerary, book flights and stays (often at rates you can't get yourself), and handle changes when plans go sideways — that's the real value.

How do travel planners charge?

Some charge a planning fee, some earn commission from bookings, some do both. Ask up front so there are no surprises.

Is a travel planner worth it for a simple trip?

For a straightforward flight-plus-hotel, maybe not. For multi-stop trips, honeymoons, group travel, or international itineraries, they usually pay for themselves.

Local planner or online one?

Local planners know regional airports and departure quirks; destination specialists know the place you're going. Match the planner to the trip.
