Questions people ask before calling
How much does it cost to fix my AC in Charleston?
Most shops offer free estimates — call two or three and compare. Be wary of anyone who quotes a big number without looking at the unit.
How fast can someone come out?
Many shops offer same-day service in Charleston, especially in summer. Call in the morning for the best shot.
Should I repair or replace my AC?
A good rule of thumb: if the repair costs more than half a new unit and yours is over 10 years old, get replacement quotes too.
What can I check before I call?
Make sure the thermostat is set to cool, the breaker hasn't tripped, and the filter isn't clogged. If all that looks fine, call a pro.
